How To Sell “The DAB Livestock Auction Hub Way”
DAB Livestock Auction Hub has created a national livestock market where prices are discovered, through competitive bidding, without regard to local climate conditions or demand. Through its nationwide marketing network, DAB Livestock Auction Hub can serve sellers and buyers throughout the United States.
Cattle are sold on contract for immediate to future delivery, whichever meets your needs and market expectations. Unlike conventional marketing methods, you have the opportunity to offer your cattle, at auction, to over 2,500 registered buyers while still at your farm or holding and shown in their natural surroundings.
To begin the process, visit our Find a Representative page and search for the representative or representatives nearest you. Or, you can call us and we will assist you in finding a representative near you.
You Have Three Options In Marketing through Denis A. Barrett Auctions & Pedigree Sales.
- Our Pedigree Production Auctions:

- Online Livestock Auction’s: (OLA)
- This is more suitable for not breeding cattle – Weanlings, stores, fat bullocks, cull cows, weanling& butcher heifers.
- Single and group loads accepted.
All information is correlated from reliable sources – please also see guidelines that our representatives utilise in there animal inspections.
We import the animal data from Animal Identification and Movements (AIM), Irish Cattle Breeding Federation (ICBF) to the DAB Livestock Hub platform.
Videos are recorded at the farm and uploaded onto the DAB Livestock Hub system.
Confirmed weights are entered, using the sellers own weighing scales, but weights confirmed by a Livestock Hub inspector, Vet, Teagasc Advisor etc. If no scales are available on farm, then Certified weights in-conjunction with Local Co-op’s and respected Licenced Haulers could also be used.
Estimated weights are entered, unless the seller has a weighing scales, If only estimated weights were provided, then weights would be ascertained via the system above or through the FRS or similar and price per kilo amended based on actual weight.
Buyers would then collect the animals or arrange to have the animals collected animals at the farm or holding. The Livestock Hub would be present for the load out or the a Trusted Livestock Haulier. CMMS/AIM movements would be dealt with at this point.
